Four Skater catamarans caught the eye of many show-goers on Thursday. The Miss GEICO team was in full effect at the Miami International Boat Show. Jim Hering and Jeff Johnston of Hering Propellers talk shop with a couple of customers.
Between the Ilmor 725 engine with an Indy drive and the new 570-hp engine, the Ilmor Marine booth was busy all day. Statement Marine's new 368 SUV center console with four Mercury 300 Verado engines was on display. Mercury Racing's new general manager, Erik Christiansen, stands proudly next to Mercury's new 1,650-hp QC4V engine.
Cigarette Racing unveiled its latest Mercedes-AMG collaboration, an electrically powered 38-footer, on Thursday at the boat show. Hustler Powerboats had three breathtaking V-bottoms on display in Miami. Dustin Whipple of Whipple Superchargers takes the helm of his new 43-foot Outerlimits V-bottom.
Dubbed Black Diamond, MTI's new 52-foot catamaran was a definite show-stopper. The new SV29 from Outerlimits featured a single 725-hp engine from Ilmor Marine. Deep Impact showed off its new 33-foot center console in Miami.
