Gallery Of The Week: Skater In Paradise

During the annual speedonthewater.com photo shoot in Key West, Fla., earlier this month, our chief photographer Pete Boden had plenty of specific boats to capture for our 2018 Year In Review print edition, which will go on sale next month for late-January delivery. But once Boden got done with his MTINor-Tech and Statement Marine assignments, he was free to shoot whatever else happened to fly below his helicopter photo platform.

Among the images Boden brought back from the shoot were several of a Skater 368 catamaran powered by Mercury Racing 700 SCi engines and owned by Phil Piccinin of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. And between the soft morning light and the colors the 36-footer—painted by Chris Mills of Boat Customs in Caledonia, Mich.—and the Key West water, the results were spectacular. As we’re sure you’ll agree when you check out the gallery below.

Now that we’re back with all the events of Key West and Thanksgiving behind us, we’re getting into the swing of producing yet another 196-page collectible print magazine for your viewing and reading pleasure. And with excellent images such as these to choose from, diving into to the massive amount of work ahead is a pleasure.
