Big Thunder Marine Expecting Even Bigger Baja, Fountain & Donzi Fun Run This Year

There’s still time to register for next week’s BFD Fun Run (July 25-26) hosted by Big Thunder Marine on Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks. As of last week, the Baja, Fountain & Donzi Fun Run hosted by the local dealership had more than 100 boats signed up for the event, which includes a registration party and bag pick up all day Thursday at Big Thunder Marine followed by a buffet dinner that evening and Friday’s fun run with five stops and two “bonus” stops.

“We aren’t going to cut off registration—it’s going to be packed but we are going to places with a lot of room,” said Jeremy Anderson, general manager of Big Thunder Marine, which sells boats from Baja Marine, Donzi Marine, Fountain Powerboats and more. “In our first event last year we had 77 boats join us. Obviously we’re expecting way more participants this year.”

The first stop of Friday’s fun run is at Camden on the Lake Resort, where a breakfast buffet will be served from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with the run officially starting at 11 a.m., departing to Bear Bottom Resort. From there, participants go to Paradise Tropical Restaurant & Bar, Millstone Marina & Resort and the final stop at Coconuts Caribbean Beach Bar & Grill.

There are two bonus “punch-and-go” stops at Glencove Marine Fuel Dock/Sea Store and Tap & Grill Lake Side Brew Haus. Anderson said the participants who make it to all of the stops are going to be eligible for a bonus prize.
