Big Thunder Marine Lending Support to Many for Lake of the Ozarks Shootout

With an emphasis on making sure its customers who want to be on the lake next week for the 28th annual Lake of the Ozarks Shootout will be able to use their boats, the team at Big Thunder Marine in Osage Beach, Mo., has been quite busy as of late.

“Our main focus is our customers—the Shootout is a big show and it’s not about Big Thunder, it’s about taking care of our customers,” said Big Thunder’s Ed Champion. “Everyone wants to be boating that week so we’re doing our best to make sure that happens.”

Champion said Big Thunder Marine is also lending support to a few participants competing in the Shootout, including the defending Top Gun champion in the pontoon class, Brad Rowland, who ran his South Bay 109 mph at the 2015 event.

“In support of our renewed business of Big Thunder Marine at the lake, and in honor of the late Bob Morgan, Big Thunder is now a sponsor of Don Onken’s American Ethanol Mystic,” Champion said. “We’re also proud to be sponsoring local boaters Nikki and Ricky Amos, who will be running their Fountain Powerboats 47-foot V-bottom powered by triple Mercury Racing 525EFI engines.”

Along with Wednesday night’s Shootout on the Strip, which has been rumored to include a new Big Thunder showstopper, Champion said he’s looking forward to many of the Shootout-related events over the next week and a half.
