Boden’s Day One Highlights From The Tickfaw 200 Poker Run

Many of you joke about the “job” Pete Boden, speedonthewater.com’s chief photographer, does week in and week out. No matter how enjoyable being around boats and beauties can be, it really is still work and we are the first to applaud his efforts.

This week Boden is in Louisiana—Springfield to be exact—covering the Tickfaw 200 Poker Run and this evening he sorted through his shots and sent us a some of his favorite images for a gallery from the first day of the two-day, 200-mile run.

Following yesterday’s crawfish boil at the home of Michael and Nikki Pierce, who own the Pure Platinum 388 Skater, Boden hopped in a helicopter and got a birds-eye view for much of the day. Below is a slideshow of images from his day of “work.”

Check out the slideshow above for more of Boden’s images from Friday.

We look forward to seeing what tomorrow brings as Boden is setting up shop on land to grab shots of as many boats as possible. First he’s off to the Fun House at Blood River Landing this evening to catch up with many fans of his work.
