Boyne Thunder Poker Run Wrap-Up: Michigan’s Finest

With 100 boats in attendance and hundreds more on the water enjoying the show, the 11th annual Boyne Thunder Poker Run left the F. Grant Moore Municpal Harbor en route to stops in Michigan’s Elk Rapids, Northport, Charlevoix and Bay Harbor before returning to Boyne City for the post-run party on Saturday evening.

The sold-out fleet, which ranged from V-bottoms, catamarans and center consoles from the likes of Active Thunder, Apache, Cigarette, Donzi, Formula, Fountain, MTI, Mystic, Nor-Tech, Ocean Express, Outerlimits, Skater, Velocity and more, enjoyed the 100-plus-mile run, which benefitted Camp Quality.

Speedonthewater.com had the privilege of joining Bill and Lori Lemanske in the couple’s Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats 390 Sport center console with triple Mercury Verado 300 engines. Not only did the Lemanskes have a blast running their boat in the event for the fourth time, the couple’s 39-footer took home top honors in Friday night’s Stereo Wars, which followed the event’s street party.
