High-performance powerboat enthusiasts in Europe will get their first up-close look at the 42’ Huntress, Cigarette Racing Team’s largest performance center console sportboat, during the Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes, France, Sept. 11-16. The Opa-Locka, Fla., custom boat-builder’s long-time St.Tropez dealer, Sportmer Marine, will display the 42-footer at exhibit # PAN093.

According to a press release from Cigarette, the 42′ Huntress embodies the changes that have revolutionized the United States market—bigger, more powerful engines and the desire for more space for more passengers. Sportmer’s well-known driving force, Marcel Biales, joins with Cigarette in presenting the 42-footer to test the reaction of the European market to the Huntress’ luxurious open cockpit, complete with a teak floor and plush full cabin accommodations.

The 42’ Huntress, which can accommodate as many as five outboard engines, reportedly was in planning, development and construction for 18 months prior to the 2012 Miami International Boat Show, where it made its domestic debut in February.
