Countdown to Miami: DCB Ready to Show Off M41

In a little more than two weeks, thousands of performance boaters will get their first up-close-and-personal look at the new M41 Widebody from Dave’s Custom Boats (DCB) at the Miami International Boat Show. The 41-foot catamaran, which is powered by twin Mercury Racing 1350 engines and has reached a 175-mph top speed in early testing, will be on display at the in-water portion of the show in the popular Mercury Racing section.
Although the El Cajon, Calif., company had boats on display indoors in Miami the last two years, DCB founder Dave Hemmingson said the company opted to do the in-water portion only this year to keep the focus on the highly anticipated M41.
Hemmingson added that the owners of the new state-of-the-art catamaran—Win and Melissa Farnsworth—are planning to take the boat on the Florida Powerboat Club’s Miami Boat Show Poker Run after the show.
“We’re looking forward to showcasing the boat in Miami,” said Hemmingson, who had nothing but praise for the M41 after testing it a couple of weeks ago on Arizona’s Lake Havasu. “Between the boat show and the poker run, we invite everyone to come by, see the boat and take a closer look. I’ve never done the boat show poker run, but I’ve heard it’s really fun. I can’t wait.”
