Countdown to Miami: Statement Showcasing 1350-Powered Cat and Quad-Outboard Center Console

Statement Marine, the winner of the 2012 Miami International Boat Show “Best Display Award” (Read the story) plans to field another winning exhibit at the 2013 event next month. Anchoring the builder’s display will be a new 50 Passion catamaran with twin Mercury Racing 1350 engines and a new 368 Crossover SUV center console with four 300-hp Mercury Verado outboard engines.

The 50-footer is the St. Petersburg, Fla., custom catamaran, V-bottom sportboat and center console builder’s first cat with the turbocharged 1,350-hp quad overhead cam engines. The 368 is the company’s first center console outfitted with quad outboards. According to Nick Buis of Statement, the company might have a model at the Sea Isle Marina exhibit and demo docks in addition to its display in the Miami Convention Center. “We’re shooting to have something in the water,” he said.
