Danalevi Powerboats Debuting 22-Foot Sportboat at Miami Show

Danalevi Powerboats of Belchertown, Mass., is hoping to make a big splash at the Miami International Boat Show, which opens this week on Thursday morning, with its high-styled 22-foot Furina sportboat. Designed by Ross Hartman, the president of the company, the 22-footer is the first offering in the builder’s line and blends “American muscle-car feel with classic European styling,” according to a brochure from the manufacturer.

A 380-hp Volvo Penta EVC V-8 engine powers the Furina 22. With that power package, the 3,800-pound boat with a 22-degree modified V-bottom hull reportedly tops 60 mph with the engine turning 5,800 rpm, and cruises at 36 mph with the engine turning 3,500 rpm. Fuel capacity is 60 gallons.

In addition to an attractive trio of multi-function analog gauges in a molded pod above the Momo steering wheel, the boat’s helm station boasts Garmin’s Glass Cockpit System, which is the “premier multi-display solution” for Volvo Penta engines. More than an advanced engine data-monitoring system with Garmin multi-function touchscreen control, the Glass Cockpit system incorporates multi-media and connectivity control and more. It is completely integrated with the 22-footer’s Fusion entertainment system.

Forward of the cockpit, which has an 8′ 6″ beam and includes a pair of swiveling and adjustable bucket seats and a three-person bench, there is a small day cabin. Additional features include a built-in cooler, slide-tray stowage, a smart phone docking station, stainless-steel hardware and a custom windshield.

The Furina 22 will be in the water at the Sea Isle Marina docks during the Miami event. Show price is $149,000.
