DCB Earns Third Consecutive Mercury Marine CSI Award

Though DCB Performance Boats has built its outstanding reputation on creating impeccably detailed and finished high-performance catamarans, the El Cajon, Calif., company also is known for its exceptional customer service. That was officially recognized last month when DCB earned a 2019 Customer Index Satisfaction Award from Mercury Marine. It is the third such honor DCB has received from the Fond du Lac, Wis., company in as many years.

“I always say that we have the best customers in the world,” said Jeff Johnston, the president of the company. “So they deserve the best treatment we can possibly give them.”

Presented annually, Mercury Marines CSI honors are awarded to company’s “that embody the highest levels of service, according to customer evaluations,” according to press materials from the marine engine and accessories company. To be eligible for the customer-feedback-based honor, Mercury Marine dealerships must be a Mercury Premier Level or Certified Service Level dealer and must have maintained a score of greater than 94 out of a possible 100 for 12 consecutive months.

Mercury began the program in 2006.

“Though we work as a team here at DCB, a lot of the credit for this honor has to go to Eric Winebarger, our service manager,” said Johnston. “He’s extremely dedicated and he does a great job, which in turns frees all of us to focus on our individual roles. Good people are the key to success, and we’re blessed to have an entire team of them at DCB.”
