Desert Storm Poker Run Postponed To The Fall
Although it wasn’t an easy call for the team at Phantom Productions to make, a decision was announced on Facebook earlier today to postpone the 22nd annual Desert Storm Poker Run in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., until the fall, and combine the event with the production company’s Monster Storm event also in Lake Havasu City.

According to lead organizers Jimmy and Christina Nichols, Lake Havasu City pulled all of its event permits until further notice, which didn’t help the organizers in the planning process being that the event is only a month away. So, rather than wait and try to select another date in the spring, they decided to push the event back and combine it with their fall poker run.
“It was not an easy decision to postpone the event, but the response from our amazing sponsors, staff and participants has been overwhelmingly positive,” Christina Nichols said. “We’d like to thank everyone for their feedback and we plan to solicit more feedback as to which dates work best for everyone and will announce the new dates next week.”
Nichols added that the combined event is going to be called Storm 2020 and that the events will go back to the normal spring and fall dates in 2021.
