Doller and Sanborn Team Up for Doller Offshore Marine

Marine industry veterans Mindi Doller of Doller Offshore Marine in Hollywood, Fla., and Martin Sanborn have teamed up to focus on the company’s powerboat sales effort. A successful Sunsation Boats dealer, Doller Offshore also sells a variety of pre-owned models.

Mindi Doller said that she and Sanborn had been discussing working together for some time—and that she’s looking forward to his help.

Although Sanborn has been closely involved with the Powerboat P1 USA offshore racing circuit since it came to the United States in the late-2000s and is still involved in raceboat sales for the organization, he is best known for the 18 years he spent working for Fountain Powerboats in Washington, N.C. Sanborn, who eventually became an offshore racer and offshore racing commentator, worked primarily in the customer end of the business directly under the company’s namesake.

Sanborn will kick off his relationship with Doller Offshore, which has been in business since 1981 and offers a full service center and parts department, representing the company at this week’s Palm Beach Intenational Boat Show.

“It’s exciting to be able to diversify,” he said “I am going to be helping out Mindi with sales—we’re going to do all kinds of fun stuff. I have applied for my broker’s license but I will be working under Doller’s license as an independent contractor doing outside sales of new and used boats.

“I took my first ride in a Sunsation the other day,” added Sanborn, a longtime member of the Fountain faithful. “What a great-riding, solid boat. I was impressed.”

Doller said that she and Sanborn had been discussing working together for some time—and that she’s looking forward to his help.

“I am so busy with sales it’s crazy,” she said. “I just can’t keep up. I really need someone to help. Martin hasn’t really been on the sales end before, but he can sell anything. I think it’s a great match-up.

“And it’s about time he took ride in a Sunsation,” she added, then laughed.
