Exclusive: First Ride in Nor-Tech’s 360 MC Flyer

The Lake of the Ozarks Shootout poker run is tough to beat. Between classic V-bottoms, high-performance catamarans and triple- or quad-engine center consoles, the turnout of boats is quite a sight.

The 360 MC Flyer from Nor-Tech got a lot of attention during the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout poker run on Friday.

For speedonthewater.com, today’s poker run on the popular Missouri lake was a special treat. A phone call from Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats‘ Terry Sobo on Thursday led to a full day of boating in the Fort Myers, Fla., company’s brand new 360 MC Flyer—arguably the most unique boat in the 100-plus-boat fleet. (Check out the story on the boat here.)

Powered by triple Mercury 300 Verado engines, the bright blue, classic-looking V-bottom drew eyeballs at every stop we pulled into. We also took a special test ride with Teague Custom Marine‘s Bob Teague, alongside Sobo and Nor-Tech owner Nils Johnsen, so look for a profile on the stunning 36-footer in an upcoming issue of Speed On The Water digital magazine.
