FB Marine Group Offering Charters With Attitude

When you think about powerboat charters, the vessels that typically come to mind are yachts and sportfishers. While FB Marine Group does offer traditional charter fare, the Pompano Beach, Fla.-headquartered company also offers charters—with professional captains—that boast a bit more attitude such as a quad Mercury Marine outboard engine-powered Fountain Powerboats 48 Cruiser. According to FB Marine Group general manager Randy Sweers, the 48-footer cruises easily at 50 mph and can handle plenty of passengers.

“That gives you the ability to run to the Bahamas for lunch or down to the Keys for a day trip,” said Sweers, who is holding an open house—complete with refreshments—featuring the Statement Marine and Contender center console lines at the company’s Pompano Beach location tomorrow. We also have a 35-foot Statement center console and 39-foot Midnight Express center console available for charter. And for those looking for a more high-performance experience, we have a couple of high-performance cats and V-bottoms.

“For those people looking to do some boating in Miami but didn’t drag their boat from California or Chicago New York and elsewhere we have a wide selection of boats available with captains,” he added.

FB Marine Group also has an array of yachts in its charter fleet.

On the more luxurious side of the charter business, FB Marine Group currently has an 88-foot Leopard yacht and 68-foot Azimut Flybridge available.

“We are adding new boats to our fleet every single week,” said Sweers. “Most of them are based out of our Miami Beach Marina location, which is the gateway to the Bahamas and the Florida Keys.”
