First Cigarette 39’ Top Gun Open Sold

Less than three weeks after its introduction at the 2012 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the first Cigarette 39’ Top Gun Open was sold during last weekend’s Super Boat International World Championships in Key West, Fla., according to Skip Braver, the owner and chief executive officer of Cigarette Racing Team.

“We’re very pleased for the buyer, and obviously we’re pleased for Cigarette,” said Braver. “The 39’ Top Gun Open is a true performance center console, and we expect it to do well.”

Braver did not disclose the name of the buyer.

The 39-footer was displayed at the Pier 57 Marine—the leading Cigarette dealer—exhibit in the Florida Powerboat Club’s Poker Run Village on a custom-made Myco trailer. The trailer featured a hydraulic tilting function, which is common for wide-beam catamarans but unique for an 8-foot-wide V-bottom.
