First Mystic M3800 Luxury Center Console Hitting The Road

With the final cabin interior details complete on the new Mystic Powerboats M3800 luxury center console, Scott Sjogren of Mystic Powerboat Sales is beginning a demo tour with the boat that starts this weekend at the Fort Myers Offshore season-opener on the west coast of Florida. A trio of Mercury Marine Verado 350 outboard engines powers the 38-footer.

The new Mystic M3800 begins its demo tour this weekend.

“We’re ready to take the product to the public now,” said Sjogren. “It took a little longer than we wanted, but we’d rather have it be a little late and perfect than early with work still left to be done.

“The first M3800 is going to remain a true factory demo boat so we can take people out and let them run it,” he continued. “Anybody who wants to come to Fort Myers this weekend and experience it should call me.”

In early November, the M3800 will be on display on the other side of the state at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. A week later, it will be in Key West—and also available for demo rides—during the Super Boat International Offshore World Championships.

Sjogren said that despite the 38-footer’s considerable 12,000-pound heft it delivers a spirited yet stable ride.

“It’s so different than the M4200—they’re two totally different boats,” he said. “If the 42 is a Porsche Cayenne turbo, the 38 is a Porsche 911 turbo. And it’s still one of the most stable boats I’ve ever driven.”
