Unveiled for the public in the Poker Run Village during the 2012 Super Boat International World Championships in Key West, Fla.,  earlier this month, the first retro/launch-style Nor-Tech 420 will be shipped to Germany in January. The 42-footer, which is based off the Nor-Tech 390 Center Console hull, will be on display at the Dusseldorf International Boat Show Jan. 21-29.

After the show, the boat will be delivered to its owner in Norway.

“The gentleman in Norway bought it last year at the Miami Boat Show based on an idea and a scale model,” said Terry Sobo, Nor-Tech’s director of sales and marketing.

While the first 420 was powered by twin 370-hp Yanmar diesels, the second will have a pair of Mercury Racing 525EFI engines. The boat will be on display at the Mercury docks during the 2012 Miami International Boat Show in February.
