Weeks after showcasing the company’s first center console powered by Seven Marine 557 outboards at the Miami International Boat Show, Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats tested the 390 Open Sport for the first time near the company’s facility in Cape Coral, Fla., and reported a top speed of 89.7 mph. Commissioned by Bob Crow of Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boat Sales of Fort Lauderdale, the gunmetal gray 39-footer with red, white and carbon-fiber accents is currently on display at the 29th annual Palm Beach International Boat Show that opened Thursday in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Along with the 390 Open Sport, which boasts astonishing acceleration thanks to the three 6.2L supercharged V8 engines, Crow and company have two other Nor-Techs on display—a 420 Monte Carlo with diesel power and a fishing-focused 340 Sport with twin Yamaha 350 outboards.

Not that the attractive 39-footer needed another reason for people to come check it out, but Nor-Tech teamed up with special guest Paul Teutul Sr. of Orange County Choppers fame to display three custom-built chopper motorcycles in front of the boat. Each day, Teutul is scheduled for meet and greet sessions from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

According to Nor-Tech’s Brandon Weppner, who handles marketing and customer relations for the company, Nor-Tech is building a second 39-foot center console with the triple Seven Marine 557 package. Weppner said the boat is expected to attract an avid performance boater who is looking for the practicality of a center console but the performance and handling of a powerboat.
