Flashback by Jay Nichols: Freedom US 1 Skater at the 2009 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout
The second installment in photographer Jay Nichols‘ “Flashback Series” features Freedom US 1, a storied 46-foot Skater Powerboats catamaran owned by well-known performance-boat enthusiast Jim Lee. Nichols caught the boat running during the weekend of the 2009 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in Central Missouri.

That Nichols chose to showcase the Performance Boat Center name and logo in this image makes perfect sense. Not only is Performance Boat Center’s posh facility located on the shores of the lake, the company—a major sponsor for the shooter—recently became a Skater Powerboats dealer. (Read the story.)
