Formula Announces New 430 Super Sport Crossover

Destined to change the offshore boating experience, Formula Boats is introducing its innovative 430 Super Sport Crossover, which features a new outboard-powered design that Formula says combines the confident command of its sleek Super Sport lineup with the open bow and cabin elements that spring from its unparalleled Crossover Bowrider, then incorporates the nimble versatility of a flush cockpit center console.

According to a press release from the Decatur, Ind., company, the result is the paradigm-shifting 430 SSC, which allows boaters to have the best of all worlds. At 43 feet in length with a 12-foot beam, the boat attains Formula SS flagship status and will be introduced at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in early November.

Designed by John Adams, Formula’s longtime exclusive designer who calls the 430 SSC his best interpretation of what offshore boating enthusiasts desire, the 21-degree deep-V hull with the company’s FAS3Tech multi-step design and molded structural grid is expected to deliver a swift, stable Formula-like performance to complement the comfort provided throughout the boat.

With nearly 40 linear feet of cockpit space flowing uninterrupted on one continuous level, the boat’s SmartZone concept fully optimizes the space with a side console helm to starboard, creating separate areas that foster a variety of activities and boating preferences while encouraging authentic connections among guests. Add to that cabin accommodations that offer surprising amenities normally encountered in closed-bow vessels, including a convertible dinette/sleeping berth, an aft stateroom with a queen-size Sensus memory foam bed, a private 6-foot, 6-inch head compartment, a full galley and a premium entertainment system.

Based on the renderings, it’s easy to see why Formula explains that virtually every boater’s preference is satisfied in the 430 SSC cockpit. From up-front exhilaration in the expansive bow, the accommodating U-shape lounge ahead of the extended swim platform, and the enclosed coupe with full-width motorized glass sunroof and triple command seating, the entertainment possibilities are endless.

The side console helm maximizes Formula’s offshore heritage with triple command seating that is chiseled for support, yet expertly formed for comfort. Each seat bottom adjusts for options to sit, stand or rest on the upright seat, affording your team confident command for varying seas and activities. Standard power on the 43-footer, which weighs 25,200 pounds, is quad Mercury 300 Verado outboard engines (upgraded quad Verado 350s are available).

And, whether it’s gathering for lunch, basking in the sun or enjoying a soothing sunset cruise, the electrically actuated tables with filler cushions are raised or lowered individually based on preference, ready for the next on-water activity you may choose.

The 430 SSC, which is loaded with storage compartments as expected, takes full advantage of current technology as well. Four dual USB charging ports are conveniently located throughout, and blue-white LED lighting in every zone adds a heightened awareness toward the end of the day and into the evening. The optional underwater blue lights add distinctive style and appeal, and the “Sound-to-Light” upgrade with Wi-Fi control features full spectrum color choices that seamlessly sync to your music, creating a multi-sensory underwater light show.
