According to a press release on the IBI/METS website, “Formula Boats new FormulaFlex program—developed to allow each buyer to customise their boat to various degrees with no extra cost—caught the eye of the judging panel. Further upgrades are also available through its FormulaFlex MyWay program. Formula’s unique approach has required a total revision of production communications, from computer generated instructions on the production ticket to face-to-face encounters between the point of sale and the shop floor, enhanced by the latest in wireless technology.”

The other two nominees for the honor are European boat builders Monte Carlo Yachts and Karnic Powerboats.
