Four Horsemen Poker Run Issues ‘Last Call’

Though day-before registrations will be accepted, though not encouraged, for the 11th annual Four Horsemen Poker Run on Lake Winnebago in Oshkosh, Wis., “early registration” online closes today. The event is scheduled for June 12-13.

Just a few weeks away, the 2020 Four Horsemen Poker Run currently has 45 registered participants. Photo from the 2019 Four Horsemen Poker Run by Pete Boden copyright Shoot 2 Thrill Pix/speedonthewater.com.

“Any registrations received after end-of day, Central Standard Time, mean those participants are not guaranteed to receive event shirts in the correct sizes or goodie bags,” said Shannon Radtke, the primary organizer of the event. “I am finishing up the list now to send to the shirt vendor tomorrow morning.

“So today is ‘last call’ so to speak” she added.“But we will still accept reservations all the way through Friday before the run begins,”

As it typically is, the Four Horsemen event is slated to be the first poker run of the early summer. There are presently 45 boat registered for the happening. Though the likely turnout will fall below last year’s record-setting 86 boat fleet, the organizers are expecting 15 to 20 more registrations between now and June 12.

Like events around the country, the Four Horsemen Poker Run will have to adhere to Centers for Disease Controls and Prevention social-distancing guidelines for COVID-19. As for what those measures will be specifically, Radtke said they are not ready to discuss specifics as the guidelines are still evolving.
