Fourth Annual Cigarette Owners Rendezvous At 87 Boats And Counting

Given the growth of the Cigarette Owners Rendezvous hosted by Performance Boat Center for the past three years and the current count of 87 new and vintage Cigarette Racing Team models at the fourth annual happening on the Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri this weekend, it’s only a matter of time before the event reaches the 100-boat milestone. Although that likely won’t happen until next year’s event, an 87-boat number—up from 78 boats last year—is impressive and sets yet another record for the most Cigarette V-bottoms and center consoles in one place at the same time.

Speedonthewater.com chief photographer Pete Boden is on hand to capture the action, which started with a fun run—and many of the boats currently are still on the water—to Coconuts Caribbean Beach Bar and Grill and the Tap N Grill Lake Side Brew Haus. Then they’ll head back to a party at the Red Head Yacht Club on the Performance Boat Center property this evening.

For a closer look at today’s action from the fourth annual Cigarette Owners Rendezvous, check out the slideshow above.

Tomorrow’s action will include a late-morning run to Big Dick’s Halfway Inn for a catered lunch, followed by a “cove out” raft-up in Lima Creek Cove. After the raft-up, the fleet will return to Performance Boat Center for dinner and an awards ceremony.
