How do you top to a record-setting turnout at any given go-fast boating event? Do it two days in a row.

By the time you read this, most of the V-bottom sportboats and center consoles that took part in today’s multi-stop lunch run and raft-off during fifth annual Cigarette Owners Rendezvous hosted by Performance Boat Center in Osage Beach, Mo., are either back at the full-service powerboat dealership’s docks or heading that way for tonight’s celebration. And the party should be raging.

At this point nobody knows how many of the 101 boats registered for the event hit the water today and yesterday as no official boat count has been released, but by all accounts the Cigarette fleet stormed and swarmed the Lake of the Ozarks. Friday’s cool weather gave way to more-season-appropriate temperatures in the mid 80s.

For a closer look at today’s Cigarette event on the Lake of the Ozarks, check out the slideshow above.

Asked how the weekend has gone so far, Performance Boat Center co-owner Brett Manire kept things simple. “So much fun, so many good people,” he said.

For the fifth year in a row, speedonthewater.com photographer Pete Boden was on hand to capture all the action from a helicopter And with all the boats on the water, he had plenty to keep him busy.

As usual, Boden brought back some spectacular images. We hope you enjoy them.
