Gallery of the Week: Habitual Homecoming at Old Hickory Fun Run

Last weekend’s Old Hickory Fun Run, Raft-Up And Pub Crawl outside Nashville, Tenn., was more than a labor of love for organizer Chad Collier and his ever-supportive wife, Heather. It was the first chance for the Colliers to run their exquisite low-profile Mystic Powerboats C4400 catamaran powered by Mercury Racing 1350 engines at a decidedly local happening. And by all accounts, their fellow performance-boat owners and spectators during the event couldn’t get enough of the 44-footer.

But no one was more delighted than Chad Collier. “What can you say?” he said. “It’s a Mystic. It’s on rails.”

The next major stop for the Collier’s C4400 is Super Cat Fest (Aug. 24-27), which runs concurrently with the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in Central Missouri. (Speedonthewater.com is presenting Super Cat Fest this year.). Performance-boat fans will be able to check it out at the docks of the Camden On The Lake Resort, the host venue for the event. Their next chance to catch the unique 44-footer in action will be during the Florida Powerboat Club’s annual Key West Poker Run in November.
