Gallery Of The Week: Performance Boat Center Party Pix

Armed with a new Sony CyberShot digital camera and a whole lot of liquid courage, speedonthewater.com co-publisher and 2018 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Hall of Fame inductee Jason Johnson and I set out to chronicle last night’s Performance Boat Center Welcome Party in Osage Beach, Mo. The annual bash hosted by the full-service powerboat dealership has become the must-attend event of the concurrent Shootout and Super Cat Fest event.

Snagging fun images of folks in full party mode was our goal, and we’re pretty sure we achieved it, so rather than going with serious photo gear, we took the CyberShot. Though it wouldn’t work for shooting powerboat action, it’s actually a pretty decent camera for capturing people. Plus, the tiny camera isn’t obtrusive or intimidating, which—we think—made people willing to pose for us.

How many of these people to you know? We’re guessing you’ll recognize more than a few.
