Performance Boat Center reportedly has been completing one Wright Performance 360 sport catamaran a month—most recently this model headed to a client in New Jersey—since partnering with the Melbourne, Fla.-based hull builder in 2017.

According to Performance Boat Center co-owner Brett Manire, the full-service dealership has been producing and selling one 36-footer a month since it began collaborating with Doug Wright Designs in mid 2017. Performance Boat Center receives the bare, married hull-deck for the model from the Melbourne, Fla.-based company and then handles paint, rigging and interior installation in house.

“We have been very successful with the Wright Performance 360,” said Manire. “And we currently have six new orders to fill.”

Building on its relationship with Doug Wright Designs, Performance Boat Center debuted its first Wright Performance 420 catamaran at the Miami International Boat Show last month The 42-footer sold immediately, and that convinced Manire and dealership co-owner Mark Waddington to order another—without a buyer lined up.

“People absolutely loved the 420 in Miami, and that was enough for us to commission another hull,” said Manire. “It should be here in eight weeks. We’ll paint it, rig it and install its interior, and then see what happens.”
