Slated for April 20-22, the 21st Annual Lake Havasu Boat Show is on pace to break its own record for exhibitors and attendees, according to Bob Brown, the organizer for the Lake Havasu City, Ariz., event. The 2012 show will include 130,000 square feet of boat displays and 80 vendors booths.

“We’ve created a new floorplan that allows us to more efficiently use available space at the on-the-water Lake Havasu State Park Windsor 4 facility,” said Brown in a press release. “Not only will we be able to increase our exhibitor count by nearly 50 percent over 2011 making this the largest consumer boat show in Arizona, but we also added a companion hot rod and vintage car show to the list of special attractions

“It’s still very early, but we’re getting excellent response from boat manufacturers, marine dealers, engine builders and accessory companies anxious to exhibit,” he continued.  “Major brands like Mercury Racing, Ilmor, Teague Custom Marine, DCB, Hallett, Eliminator, Advantage, Nordic, Conquest, IMCO, Eddie Marine, Hering Propellers and others have already expressed their intent to exhibit.  That the boat show dates now precede the popular Desert Storm Poker Run event by just a few days has only enhanced the overall appeal.”

Rounding out the entertainment portion of 2012 event, backed by title sponsor Teague Custom Marine, will be two-days of high-speed water ski racing competition conducted by the National Water Ski Racing Association.  This event is the second sanctioned marathon points race of the 2012 season featuring many of the best racers and fastest ski boats in the world.
