High Tide Arrives In Osage Beach

Just in time for next weekend’s Cigarette Owners Rendezvous hosted by Performance Boat Center in Osage Beach, Mo., the team behind the adjacent Redhead Lakeside Grill has opened High Tide, an adult-oriented establishment. The hillside oasis offers Mediterranean-style food service, a large pool surrounded by a massive pool deck with red Adirondack chairs, multiple bars and a professional stage for live entertainment.

The venue, which is located behind the more family-oriented Redhead Lakeside Grill, officially opened its doors last Saturday after a “soft opening” for friends and family on Friday, according to High Tide owner Mark Waddington, who also owns the Lakeside Grill and co-owns Performance Boat Center with Brett Manire.

“The Redhead is a family oriented place,” said Waddington, who bought the property for High Tide a couple of years ago. “With High Tide, we wanted to create a more-adult environment. It has three pool bars, two land bars and a stage—one of the bars is actually under the stage.”

Lake of the Ozarks regular Connie Siddens, who lives in Iowa but spends much of her time at the waterway, was on hand for High Tide’s grand opening.

“It’s a beautiful setup on a hill surrounded by trees,” said Siddens, who also is part of the Team Allen Lawn Care and Landscaping Super Stock-class offshore racing team family. “I’m excited for Mark.”

The High Tide construction team broke ground on December 16, 2019 and worked through the winter to complete the six-month project. Waddington said that the seasonal venue—it will be open in the summer months—will feature nightly live entertainment and is planning to bring special entertainment during the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout August 26-30.

“I can’t reveal who they are right now, but we’re going to bring in some big-name bands for the Shootout,” he said. “It’s going to be amazing.”
