Ilmor Marine Arrives in Havasu with New Digs

Outfitted with a brand new event trailer, the Ilmor Marine crew rolled into Lake Havasu City, Ariz., today for the Lake Havasu Boat Show (April 20-22), followed by the Desert Storm Poker Run (April 25-28).

Ilmor Marine will have its new trailer on display in Lake Havasu.

A major sponsor of Desert Storm for many years, Ilmor is hoping the new rig captures the company’s enthusiasm for the marine market and allows boaters to learn more about its products.

“Now, with both the high-performance and the recreational marine engines, we’re at a point where it’s really important to take our products to places where people can experience them and learn about Ilmor, who we are and the products we engineer,” said Jessica Gamarra, Ilmor’s sales and marketing director. “We’re excited to have it, that’s for sure. Our goal is that we’ll be able to attend more events throughout the year because the trailer will make it a lot easier for us to go from place to place.”

Towed by a Chevy Silverado, a nod to Ilmor’s Indy Car program relationship, the custom trailer from Featherlite Trailers is equipped with the latest LED lighting and a flat-screen television. Ilmor brought two engines to display in Havasu—an MV10 725 with an Indy drive and the new MV8 570, which will be available this summer.

If you’re in Havasu, be sure to stop by the Ilmor display and visit with Gamarra, Ian Hawkins, Ilmor’s general manager, or Paul Ray, president of Ilmor Engineering.
