Ilmor Test Team Saves Deer in Lake Erie

This tidbit of feel-good news is perfect for a Friday. Our friends at Ilmor Engineeering sent us this video of its team that was out testing a Formula Boats model on Lake Erie earlier this week.

Roughly two miles offshore, the team spotted something large floating in the water. Upon closer inspection, an exhausted young doe was found swimming with no land in sight. While one test team member jumped into the water to secure the deer, the others helped to hoist it onto the boat. After a brief ride back to shore, the team released the deer into Lake Erie Metropark.

She stumbled briefly, then, realizing she was back on solid ground, went on her merry way. Not your typical boat test, but a rewarding day nonetheless the tean at Ilmor. Way to go!
