Image of the Week: Air Cleveland

Move over, Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James. You’ve got some aerial company in the form of Cleveland Construction, the 38-foot Skater catamaran that claimed first place in last Sunday’s wild Superboat-class finale in the 2015 Super Boat International Offshore World Championships in Key West, Fla. The team’s driver Ed Smith and throttleman Keith Holmes had no reservations about airing out the 38-footer, particularly with the Stihl team hot on their heels in the final laps of the race. (For more on epic dogfight between the two teams, read the story.)

As usual, photographer Pete Boden was right there to capture the best of the action.

“That was one hell of a race,” Holmes said as he savored the win back in the pits. We couldn’t agree more, which is why this shot of Cleveland Construction in flight was an easy choice for our Image of the Week.
