Image of the Week: Flying Skiff
As it did last week, speedonthewater.com’s Image of the Week comes from the recent American Power Boat Association Orange Cup Regatta in Lakeland, Fla. And once again, ace photographer Pete Boden—recently named the official photographer for the Offshore Powerboat Grand Prix series—delivered a stunner.

We’re not quite sure what drives people to climb into the cockpits of Jersey Speed Skiffs, but photos such as this one sure make us glad they do. (Any open-cockpit raceboat with a roll cage is enough to get our attention.) They’re colorful, they’re fast and—like the Race City Marine skiff in this image—they’re absolutely wild.
