Image Of The Week: Gone Again Salute
With the last few weeks of summer winding down, performance boat enthusiast and former offshore racing world champion Rick Bowling and his family are getting the most out of their second home on the shores of Lake Tahoe in California. The Bowlings, who live full-time in Alamo, Calif., have two options for running on the pristine waterway—a Formula cruiser and Gone Again, a Talon 377 catamaran powered by Mercury Racing 1350 engines.

Most days, Rick Bowling takes advantage of the morning glass to run his patriotically dressed 37-foot canopied cat. Then he returns to his waterfront home on the shores of Carnelian Bay and takes family friends for a day on the water in his Formula cruiser. It’s a routine he repeats throughout the summer, and it never gets old.
A longtime friend of Bowling’s, Steve Seaton captured this image of Bowling running Gone Again with an American Flag painted on a building behind it as a backdrop—all framed in the majestic scale of Lake Tahoe. More than our Image of the Week, this one is the stunner of the summer.
