Image of the Week: Putting the Show in Showroom

While this image only represents a fraction of the Performance Boat Center facility at Redhead Yacht Club, it’s easy to see what all the hype was about for those who weren’t able to attend last Thursday’s party at the company’s new location on Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks.

With a host bar and six high-performance boats in the showroom, which includes second-story offices and an attached store with boating supplies, merchandise, beverages and more, Performance Boat Center rolled out the red carpet for everyone in town for the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout.

Front and center at the event was Randy Kent’s revamped 44-foot MTI catamaran featuring a new Speed Racer paint job. From Dustin Whipple of Whipple Superchargers in California to British throttleman Steve Curtis of the Spirit of Qatar team, which based its record-setting 244-mph catamaran out of the shop all week, there were many notable folks at the party that also was sponsored by PowerboatNation.com.

“The entire place is a home run,” said photographer Jay Nichols, who snapped this picture. “I’ll have to let the photo speak for the view inside the showroom. All I could add would be that if I worked here I wouldn’t ever want to leave…except to walk outside to the dock for a boat ride.”

Nichols is right. During the party, speedonthewater.com got a closer look at the showroom, service shop, gas dock and more—and man is the place impressive. With expansive docking and storage space as well as the 8,000-square-foot Bikinis Pool Bar and Grill that is expected to be open by Memorial Day weekend, we can’t wait to see what they’ve done with the place when we’re back in town for next year’s Shootout.
