Image of the Week: Sunshine-Bound Sunsation 34 CCXF

Talk about a white out. I bet this new Sunsation Boats 34 CCXF (Center Cabin Xtreme fishing edition) couldn’t wait to get away from the Michigan snowfall and into some decent boating weather where it could possibly be used for fishing—and no, ice fishing doesn’t count.

Sunsation's 34 CCX left the snow today for the Sunshine State and the Miami International Boat Show.Sunsation’s 34 CCX left the snow today for the Sunshine State and the Miami International Boat Show.

The good news is that the boat, which is powered by three Mercury Verado 300 engines, left Sunsation’s Algonac, Mich., facility earlier today en route for the warm Florida sunshine where it will be on display at the Miami International Boat Show in two weeks.

“It’s been brutally cold here; we’re taking zeros at night—you know, where we don’t even have a temperature,” said Joe Schaldenbrand, one of the brothers behind Sunsation. “Our lakes are all frozen over so we’re not doing any boating up here. It’s great for snowmobiling though, so I don’t mind the cold weather.”

Schaldenbrand said he’s excited to show off the all-white 34-footer, which features tan and black interior, rocket launchers, air conditioning, a deluxe stereo, LED lighting, Sunbrella seat covers and more, but he’s really looking forward to introducing the the new 29 CCX. He hasn’t determined a final boat show price, but he’s thinking the 29-footer with twin 150-hp Mercury outboards could fall in a price range less than $130,000. Pretty cool … get it?
