Image of the Week: Texas Angels

By Texas Outlaw Challenge standards, Gary Miller’s 39-foot Nor-Tech center console powered by four 300-hp outboard engines from Mercury Marine is relatively tame. But in a 180-boat fleet that included an assortment of exotic go-fast boat creations from the likes of Cigarette Racing Team, Douglas Marine/Skater, Marine Technology, Inc., and Outerlimits during the recent event, the 39-footer did manage to stand out thanks to Miller’s heavenly—and unusually outfitted—crew.

We’re guessing that the angel wings captured in this Jay Nichols image weren’t particularly comfortable to wear in the late-June Houston-area heat. We’re also guessing that you—like us—don’t really care.

Nobody said being an angel was easy.
