Image of the Week: Tug It Flies It
On its way to the Super Vee Lite-class win in yesterday’s Atlantic City Grand Prix offshore race, the Tug It team managed to log a little airtime. And sharp-shooting photographer Pete Boden caught the 30-foot Phantom V-bottom in full flight during the rough-water event.

We haven’t had the chance to talk to the Tug It cockpit crew of Will Ross and Kevin Smith, but based on the slightly sideways attitude of the boat in the air we’re pretty sure this moment of flight didn’t produce the softest landing.
The Offshore Powerboat Association-sanctioned race was the grand finale of the three-day Atlantic City Festival of Speed, which included a poker run, a day of boat rides for veterans from the Wounded Warrior Project and more. Held for the second consecutive year, the event was—once again—a major success.
