Image of the Week: Yeah They Do!

Let’s face it: With their romance formed in the world of high-performance powerboating, Key West, Fla., was something like the Sistine Chapel for T.J. Bailey, the founder and owner of the popular online community called Boatfreaks.org, and his sweetheart Spring Williams. And forget the spring wedding nonsense. For this well-known couple from the go-fast boating realm, late fall—on the first day of the Super Boat International Key West Offshore World Championship—was the only time of year that made sense.

Why honeymoon in Cuba when you can get married just 90 miles from it and hang out in Key West during the SBI Worlds? Meet Mr. and Mrs. Bailey.

So there they were at the Southernmost city in the United States, starting their new wonderful life—sorry, we’re suckers for classic holiday movies—as Mr. and Mrs. Bailey with a small group of friends and family on hand to witness the event.

To be honest, we really don’t know T.J. or Spring personally, though we’re hoping to get to know them a little better this weekend as we cover the SBI Key West Worlds. We know them only through online performance communities, our own speedonthewater.com news site and various Facebook pages. And still, in an odd yet magical sort of way, we found ourselves feeling kind of giddy, goofy and just plain happy at the thought of them getting married down here.

Think we’ve lost it? Take a look at this picture. We dare you not to smile.

So here’s to the Baileys: May you walk life’s path hand-in-hand, and may you live together to the fullest.
