Despite all the naysayers, the chronically self-defeating politics of offshore racing and the operational challenges that come with two very different organizations collaborating on a six-race circuit with venues in Florida, Indiana, Michigan and Missouri, it worked. Brilliantly.

OK, so maybe you need—or want—to know a little more than that. But that is the takeaway from the best offshore racing series to hit the water in the past 15 years.
