Despite all the naysayers, the chronically self-defeating politics of offshore racing and the operational challenges that come with two very different organizations collaborating on a six-race circuit with venues in Florida, Indiana, Michigan and Missouri, it worked. Brilliantly.

OK, so maybe you need—or want—to know a little more than that. But that is the takeaway from the best offshore racing series to hit the water in the past 15 years. And regardless of what happens between the APBA and OPA/P1 organizing team, that is what you need to remember as you read through this season recap.
