In terms of Key West Poker Run experiences, the recent adventures of Johnny O’Loughlin and his crew has to be amongst the all-time best in the 25-year history of the Florida Powerboat Club event that takes members from Miami to Key West, Fla. No doubt it was a week the veteran performance boater from New York will never forget.

O’Loughlin and Jimmy McIntyre of Falcon Performance Marine Center in Quogue, N.Y., drove Vengeful, O’Loughlin’s radical 48-foot MTI catamaran he took delivery of in February following its appearance in the Marine Technology Inc. display at the Miami International Boat Show, in the Wednesday poker run and had a great time.

Following the run down in the 48-footer powered by twin Mercury Racing 1350/1550 engines, O’Loughlin, McIntyre and their friends jumped on a plane to Miami Wednesday night so they could do the Thursday run in Lil’ Vengeful, O’Loughlin’s brand new MTI 340X catamaran powered by twin Mercury Racing Verado 400R engines that is the “mini me” to his 48 MTI.
