Key West Worlds Update: Superboat Finale Stunner
While the official results from Super Boat International are not in, barring any penalties WHM Motorsports will take Superboat world championship by finishing in second place in all three races of the SBI Key West Offshore World Championships.
The Stihl Skater cat came into today’s race with a pair of first-place finishes—the WMH Skater came with a pair of second-place results. But today’s race was a double-points contest.
The title was Stihl‘s to win if the boat finished third place or higher. Unfortunately for the Stihl team of Robert “J.R.” Noble and Grant Bruggemann, they broke a drive and did not finish.
WHM Motorsports led Sthil from the start and held that lead for much of the race. Shortly after Sthil broke down, the Spirit of Qatar 20 Marine Technology, Inc., cat overtook WHM and held the lead through the finish
