Kinetic Animation Moving To Expanded Facility

Just back this week from a trip to Qatar where he applied the graphics his company created for the Qatar Marine Sport Federation’s F1 H20 tunnel boats driven by rising American star Shaun Torrente and dominating veteran Alex Carella, Ryan Beckley of Kinetic Animation is moving his company into a new and larger plant in Sarasota, Fla. Purchased by Beckley prior to his Qatar journey, the new 7,500-square-foot facility is 2,000 square feet larger than his previous shop. What’s more, he owns it.

carellatunnelboatNow that Beckley is back from his recent trip to Qatar to apply graphics to the Qatar Marine Sports Federation F1 tunnel boats including Alex Carella’s racer pictured above, he can finish moving into his own new shop. 

“We were renting three of four bays in our old building, and we’re not paying rent anymore,” said Beckley, who also owns the Double Edge Motorsports Stock-class offshore racing team. “I recently bought out my partner of 19 years and started this new project. It’s a much bigger space. We’re going to be able to put a tractor-trailer inside the building, and it has a much bigger office space.

“We’re still in the process of moving in,” he continued. “We repainted, put in new carpet and installed new epoxy flooring in the engine room for our race shop—we’re going to have a better race shop to work out of. We’re going to be able to offer winter and summer storage for our customers. Overall, the new facility is going to help us increase productivity.”

Ace offshore racing photographer and On The Water digital magazine contributor Pete Boden of Shoot 2 Thrill Pix also is setting up an office in the new Kinetic Animation plant. Like Beckley and his crew, Boden is taking an active part in the build-out. “Pete is always helping us,” said Beckley.

Beckley said that owning rather than renting has been a longtime goal. He’s looking forward to getting to work in the new space.

“It’s just a much nicer piece of property, and there’s some pride of ownership in having it as our own and not paying rent,” he said. “We have our own parking lot and our own back fence lot now. We just have to finish moving in.”
