The KRMS Radio crew is doing a great job with this year’s Lake of the Ozarks Shootout broadcast.

According to Dennis Klautzer, owner of KRMS Radio, yesterday’s Lake of the Ozarks Shootout coverage drew a 3.5 rating on FOX 22—a rating that had the entire on-site crew producing the event excited this morning.

In fact, Klautzer said the FOX headquarters in New York called the local Missouri affiliate to find out what it had on TV on a Saturday to pull such an impressive share. To put it in perspective, Klautzer said the ratings the Major League Baseball World Series in 2011 drew when the St. Louis Cardinals were playing was a 4.1.

The team behind the broadcast deserves a huge round of applause for its efforts this week. Job well done KB, Brendan Matthews, Mike Alford, Bob Teague and everyone else working behind the scenes.
