Lanier Partners of North Georgia Release Poker Run Video, Announce Parade of Boats

Following its announcement early last week that the Lanier Partners of North Georgia wrapped up its 2016 Pirates of Lanier Charity Poker Run video and mailed it out to all participants, the organization, which has raised close to $2 million for local charities over the last eight years it has hosted the event, is excited to announce its newest event—the 2016 Lake Lanier Parade of Boats taking place on Saturday, Dec. 10.

The event is going to be hosted by Lanier Islands in Buford, Ga.—the same venue that hosts the Pirates of Lanier Charity Poker Run in July—and the boats are going to leave from the marina and travel to Sunset Cove where the decorated boats will be on display for spectators.

Prizes are going to be awarded to the best decorated boats and everyone who takes part in the parade gets the opportunity to ride through the Magical Nights of Lights at Lanier Islands. Discounted room rates at the resort are being offered to participants in the event as well. Registration is $50 for boats and cruisers, and $100 for houseboats.

The event also is offering raffle tickets for sale for $100 each to win a new 2017 Audi A5 convertible. Only 1,000 raffle tickets will be sold and the winning ticket is going to be pulled that evening with all of the proceeds going to charity.

Not only did the LPNG recently send out USB drives to participants in the eighth annual poker run, the organization has uploaded the video to YouTube so anyone can access the 2016 Pirates of Lanier Charity Poker Run video on the LPNG YouTube Channel.

Finally, for all of you planners out there, dates for the 2017 Pirates of Lanier Charity Poker Run have been set for July 20–23.
