Thanks to Smokin’ Tuna Saloon proprietor Charlie Bauer—the manager of venerable Hog’s Breath Saloon in Key West for more than 20 years and the founder of the annual Key West Songwriters Festival—Sailor Jerry’s Rum has signed on as the official liquor sponsor for the event, which will include drink and food specials as well as live entertainment and apparel giveaways. Courtesy of Bauer, lucky guests also will walk away with seats on the Fury catamaran to catch the following day’s racing action.

An intimate Key West institution, the Smokin’ Tuna Saloon is the ideal spot for folks to chill and hang out with racers—MTI founder and CMS team member Randy Scism, Miss GEICO driver Marc Granet, Team AMSOIL’s Bob Teague, Randy Sweers of Sailor Jerry-Autonation and several other noted offshore racers have committed to attend—and performance-boat builders including the Schaldenbrand brothers of Sunsation and John Cosker of Mystic Powerboats. From there it’s a short walk—less than 200 feet—to the many diversions of Duval Street.
