Mercury Racing has selected SpeedKore Performance Group of Grafton, Wis., as the exclusive distributor of its all-new SB4 7.0 automotive aftermarket crate engine, which was unveiled earlier this week at the ongoing Specialty Equipment Market Association show in Las Vegas. The news was announced in a press release from the Fond du Lac, Wis., high-performance marine engine builder.

“We are proud to have SpeedKore represent our brand, said Erik Christiansen, the general manager of Mercury Racing, in the release. “SpeedKore has unique capabilities that position them well in the automotive aftermarket business. They share many of the same qualities as Mercury Racing when it comes to hand craftsmanship and attention to detail in the production of high performance products.”

SpeedKore specializes in customizing and building classic high-performance cars featuring advanced composites—including carbon fiber. The company also distributes Mercury Racing’s QC4 crate engines.

“We are honored that Mercury Racing has selected SpeedKore to be the sole U.S. distributor of the SB4 7.0,” said Jim Kacmarcik, the president of SpeedKore Performance Group, in the release. “Since the day we introduced the Mercury QC4 in the award-winning SpeedKore Tantrum, we knew Mercury and SpeedKore fit well together—making it an easy decision for us to form a partnership.”
