Miss GEICO For Sale?

Now that we have your attention thanks to the headline, the real question is how would you like to own a piece of recent offshore racing history or snatch up an intriguing project boat? Obviously the radically rebuilt raceboat that was featured on speedonthewater.com a few days ago after its first day of testing isn’t for sale, but two of the Miss GEICO offshore racing team’s previous boats are—and they’re listed right here in the new speedonthewater.com classifieds section.

The Miss GEICO team is selling a couple of its MTI catamarans.

Yep, the Riviera Beach, Fla.-based team has two 42-foot canopied MTI catamarans available, one gas powered and one turbine powered. Pretty cool if you ask us. For real questions about the boats, you’re better off asking Miss GEICO’s Marc Granet, who posted the two boats as well as a new pair of Mercury Racing QC4v 1100 engines finished in Mercury Racing Blue with optional carbon that is available at a relatively inexpensive $190,000.

For quick reference, here’s the link to the team’s gas-powered MTI with No. 6 drives. And here’s the listing for the MTI with BPM/SCS drives and an uninstalled fresh pair of Lycoming T53 -703 turbines.

Check them out—we can at least dream about owning a raceboat like those two, right?

If you or a friend you know is trying to sell a boat, check out the new speedonthewater.com classifieds. It’s not just for raceboats. ????
