MTI Going With Seven-Boat Fleet For Miami Boat Show

Though MTI won’t pull the sheet off a new model during the Miami International Boat Show—after all, the Wentzville, Mo., company introduced its 440X catamaran earlier than anticipated two months ago—there will be plenty of eye-candy for fans of the brand during the February 15-19 event. The custom high-performance powerboat builder will display MTI-V 50 and MTI-V 42 center consoles along with 440X and 390X catamarans inside the Miami Beach Convention Center, which reopened to the event last year after significant refurbishment.

An MTI-V 50 center console is among the models that will be available for demo rides at Haulover Marine Center—and another will be on display inside the Miami Beach Convention Center—during the Miami International Boat Show next month. As the company did in 2022, it will offer demo rides out of Haulover Marine Center in North Miami Beach, where it has a booming concierge business. MTI will not have boats in the water at the Venetian Marina and Yacht Club, formerly Sea Isle Marina, across Biscayne Bay from the convention center.

According to MTI customer relations manager Taylor Scism, the builder will have three models—a V 50, a 440X and a 390X—at the Haulover location. Demo rides are by appointment only and must be made in advance.

“People interested in demos should call me or (MTI sales manager) Tom Stuart at MTI to set up their appointments,” Scism said.
